Sunday, April 19, 2009, Middletown Center 1:30 PM - Peter Fiore , New Jersey Plein Air Painter, will demonstrate oil painting at the Middletown Art Group meeting . Guests are welcome.
Peter Fiore’s landscape paintings focus on the everyday beauty that most take for granted. Fiore has been painting and exhibiting his work for almost 30 years. He studied at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League. He has illustrated thousands of projects and collaborated on more than 20 children’s books. He has received over 75 distinguished awards including a silver medal from the Society of Illustrators where he was president from 1993 to 1995. He was featured in the September 2008 Artist’s Magazine.

It is in the Senior Center, 70 East Main St. just off Rte 17M as you are
near the Times Herald Record Offices. It is behind the old Spanish style
Church that used to be a gallery, across from the Police Station. I look
for the tall square stucco tower of the Church and follow that. If you
know where the Paramount Theater is you turn up that street from 17M and
pass the theater and turn left on East Main. I usually get off Rte 84 at
the Dolson Ave, Rte 6 exit, but not sure where Rte 94 comes in from
Warwick. Hope this helps. The police Station is just South of the Post
Office and Library, but that is coming from Rte 211 down North St.
You’ll see Police are parked behind a red brick Church, next to the old
Spanish Style one
