WAL Member John Parkinson wins science fellowship

John Parkinson of Warwick was recently awarded a fellowship from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his research on coral reefs.

Parkinson just completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. He was the only undergraduate student to be recognized for his research by the NSF.

This summer, Parkinson will go to Pennsylvania State University to begin his graduate degree in biology, working with Dr. Iliana Baums, a Rosenstiel School alumna.
