Arts and Healthcare Summit, May 31

The purpose of this summit is to bring together healthcare leaders, practitioners, caregivers and arts resources to develop alliances between the arts and healthcare. This year’s summit will deal specifically with the impact of art on cognitive brain function, particularly in patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Dr. James Noble, a noted neurologist from Columbia University Medical Center, will give the keynote address. This event provides a unique opportunity to champion a new collaborative initiative that can improve patient quality of life, create healing environments, provide respite for caregivers, strengthen patient wellness programs and demonstrate the influence of the Arts in healthcare settings. We hope you will join us on Friday, May 31, 2013
11:00am until 4:00pm. For more information or to register, call Dawn at 845-469-9168 or email dawn@ocartscouncil.org.
