Garden of Metamorphosis – works by Daniel Giordano

As part of Last Saturdays Newburgh, on January 31, 2015 from 4:00-7:00pm, the Mindy Ross Gallery will be open for a reception and viewing of the exhibit Garden of Metamorphosis – works by Daniel Giordano. At 5:30pm, Giordano will engage with attendees in an informal “Gallery Conversation.”  He will talk about his work, which is inspired by such disparate influences as nature, industry, alchemy, astronomy, the American wilderness, transformation and rebirth, science fiction, creation and origin mythology, and primordial elements.

In addition, the found-object sculptures of David Nolan will be on view in the Foyer as part of the Artists of Excellence series. Nolan states about his assemblages, “These objects are everywhere around us and simply have to be noticed in the right light.  My view of everyday items has been wonderfully enhanced by this practice.  My assemblages are simply a result of this viewing.”

The Mindy Ross Gallery is located on the SUNY Orange campus in Kaplan Hall. Ample parking is available on Grand and First Streets, Newburgh.
