African American Heritage Center mural project

The members of the Warwick Art League have been invited by the Warwick Historical Society to participate in a very significant mural project for the newly restored former UAME Church building on Forester Ave. which will be dedicated on Oct. 18th as the African American Heritage Center. They are looking for artists to help carry out the project following the dedication ceremony at which time, the artists who would like help to out can see the murals that are in place with a temporary display of photos to use as resource material for the design of the future paintings. There are 16 panels in all to be designed and painted as time allows throughout the next few months.
This will be a very important historic site destination for our community and furthermore these panels are also designed to be turned around for ongoing changing exhibits and events as well.
Please contact me if you can help out. It promises to be a very stimulating worthwhile artistic experience to be able to work together on this. I look forward to working with you.
Thank you
