Spring Greetings!
with Crafter Ali Creighton

Creative Corner craft series presents “Spring Greetings!” with Crafter Ali Creighton.  Celebrate Earth Day at this environmentally-friendly craft program with Ali, who will show you how to create special occasion greeting cards using a variety of recycled materials.  A $5 Supply Fee is due at required in-person registration for this ADULT program.  For information, call (845) 477-8377 Ext. 10.  Seating is limited; early registration suggested.  Priority registration for Greenwood Lake residents.

Easter Baskets:  Funny Bunny Face

Tuesday, March 30th, 7-8:30 p.m.
Creative Corner craft series presents “Easter Baskets:  Funny Bunny Face” with Kelly Corrado.  Join Kelly at this charitable, hands-on workshop where you’ll create a hand-painted bunny basket which will be filled with seasonal sweets and then donated to the Greenwood Lake Food Pantry for underprivileged children for the Easter holiday.  Free FAMILY program.
-Please bring two (2) bags of seasonal candy to help fill the baskets.  All candy must be individually wrapped by the manufacturer.  Loose candy cannot be accepted for food sanitary concerns.
-Also, please bring a pet item to donate, such as pet food, treats, grooming supplies, and training pads, which will also be donated for the pets of families in need.  Donations can only be accepted at the Library during regular operating hours.  Please do not leave donations outside the Library.

Water Gardening:
Establishing and Maintaining a Water Feature
Thursday, April 1st, 7-8:30 p.m.
Green Thumb garden series presents “Water Gardening:  Establishing and Maintaining a Water Feature” with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County Master Gardeners.  Gardeners are always looking for new ways to enjoy their gardens by adding new features such as waterscapes.  Whether you want a tub water garden or a small pond, Cornell’s Master Gardeners will help you get started, as well as offer invaluable maintenance tips.  Free ADULT program.

Healthy Living:  Gratitude Opens Your Heart!
Wednesday, April 7th, 12:30-2 p.m.

(The Greenwood Lake Public Library continues its new Healthy Living series, which brings informative presentations from the experts on a variety of health topics for healthy living.)

April’s Heathy Living program is:  Healthy Living:  Gratitude Opens Your Heart!” with Licensed Holistic Practictioner Maryann McQuillan.

Gratitude is an attitude and a skill!  Join Maryann to learn how to create balance, health, and wellness in your life, making it a positive and enjoyable journey.  Free ADULT program.
-Maryann is a New York State Licensed Holistic Practitioner of acupuncture, massage, and fitness.  She is the owner/operator of Goshen Acupuncture & Wellness, located in Goshen, New York, and Acupuncture on the Lake, located at 69 Windermere Avenue at Yoga on the Lake in Greenwood Lake, New York.

Community Sing-Along for Adults of All Ages

Performance Showcase presents “Community Sing-Along for Adults of All Ages” with Certified Music Therapist Melinda Burgard on Fridays, April 16^th, May 28^th, and June 18^th, 2010, from 10-11 a.m.  April’s theme is “Serenade into Spring,” showcasing springtime songs! Join Melinda at this interactive musical program where toe-tapping, finger-snapping, sharing memories, and enthusiastic singing is encouraged!  This program is all about building a music-sharing community!  Bring your friends along for this “Sentimental Journey . Sentimental Journey Home!” Free ADULT program.

WAL Member Diane Ouzoonian will be showing her work at the Greenwood Lake Library in February. The title of the show is PURE COLORS and it runs from Feb.1-26  The show consists of figures,still life and local landscapes in oils and watercolor.
