The Warwick Art League has been honored to collaborate this sesquicentennial year with the Warwick Valley Gardeners for the Annual Garden Tour that is taking place in the Village this year on Saturday, July 8 (rain date July 9).
We have been invited to paint in the gardens en plein air. Sarah is meeting with the head of the WVG on Tuesday and would like to know if there are more who would like to enjoy the day painting outdoors in the gardens.
AND if some people may like to try their hand at it but may not have a plein air easel, Sarah has a couple of extra easels in her barn that she would gladly lend for the day so they may enjoy the experience without worrying about the cost of an easel.
AND there will be a follow up exhibit of the works created (started) that day scheduled for the month of October in the board Room at our library.
Any questions please call Sarah McHugh at 845-987-8748.
Hi, Sarah – it’s susan list. I expressed interest in garden paintout & since we’ve been playing phone tag I figured I’d email. I would love to do the Saturday event on the 8th, will pass on the Friday garden tour & cannot participate in rain date of 9th. Hope that’s all ok. Because I’m a pretty experienced Plein air painter it doesn’t matter that much to me exactly where I end up to paint so you can send me to a site that doesn’t have coverage if you like. I’ll have a friend visiting me so she will ‘assist’ & read while I paint. So Pls just let me know this is all ok w you, where I should be when &
I’ll be there! Looking forward to meeting you & league members & a good painting day, thanks, Susan McKenna List
