The Warwick Art League is hosting an acrylic demo and workshop by local artist, Catherine De Cesare, on Saturday, June 24 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Senior Center, 132 Kings Highway, Warwick, NY. This creative opportunity is free for members who may also invite a guest. Non-members are also welcome for a fee of $10. Participants may bring their own paints, brushes and an 8X10 or 9X12 canvas, canvas board or paper canvas. If needed, materials will be provided for a $5 fee. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in illustration, Catherine also studied classical drawing and painting at Paier College of Art at Hamden, CT. Early in her career, she worked in advertising for J. Walter Thompson NY and the Veterans Administration designing and painting murals. Her architectural career began while living in Alexandria, VA, where she was commissioned to draw historic homes in and about Fairfax County and Washington D.C. This is where she developed her personal drawing style. Later her architectural work continued in the New York Metropolitan area where she worked with architects, developers and real estate professionals producing work for speculation producing work for speculation, planning boards and marketing. She currently continues her painting and freelance work in Warwick, NY.
